although I am no long with PP, but another company, I can still help you out. :)
One thing I do to get new recruits is allow them to earn their kit for free, I won't post how to do it here but email me privately if you want more info on it. This method has worked for me 5 times and all of the ladies are doing a great job. Also try offering free items for joining your team, like three free toys when you sign up or something lik that.
As for increasing your sales try offering specials, like buy together and save or spend X amount of dollars and get this for free. Always remember to up sell.
And for party ideas, try a girls night in, divorce parties, couples parties, be the hostess yourself and have a mystery hostess party or a luau.
Hope these ideas help.

Hi, I actually work for the company who manufactures some of your products. We do private label for passion parties.
I would hit up brides and brides maids think "bacheloret party"
Also try putting together romance gift baskets. Valentines will be a big seller, local bars? maybe do a party at the bar and have a ladies night? Hope this helps

Went to one 15 years ago. There aren't any consultants in my area any more (that I know of). I thought they were a thing of the past and that the company was shutdown or something.

Isn't that those parties where you stage the fake Crucifixion?
What do you sell at them? Nails? Sponges of vinegar? Roman holiday garb?

flyer your nieghborhoods and target areas that women frequent (b/c they are probably your main customer base).
make up little cards and stick them in car windows at shopping malls, wal-marts, etc.
also, cars at businesses that primarily employ women, perhaps credit card companies or telemarketer facilities. i hate to generalize, however, sometimes you have to when brainstorming.
take an ad out in the paper or women's magazines.
EDIT:
oh, someone had a great idea...try setting up a vendor booth at bridal shows!

Isn't that where you sell sex toys and stuff related? Advertise in a newspaper...why not even flyers. Doesn't hurt trying.
