Yes we are these bodies. The fact that we have the ability to even think about whether we are the bodies proves that we are. Consciousness is only acheived through our holy Lord and Savior. (just my opinion, not a researched answer)

We each know that we are, because we can think. We can ask questions like, "What is consciousness?" with abstract ideas. After that it gets debatable. There are arguments that God would not trick us with fake impressions of bodies, arguments that he wouldn't waste material if he could just give us the impression of having bodies, and a whole slew of ideas that don't depend on God.

yes it is quantifiable. there is a certain dynamic in the radius of one light age. by modifying our energies to that of this, we achieve a unity of consciousness at all levels. but know u this, that this body is not anything but a tool for the soul in this stage of its dynamic. the soul cycles b/w having it too ez and having it too holy. it had to take for granted things like being alive. now you will begin to question without answering your own subconscious instinct to regiment. that is the secret of released action.
