survey.com is good. But only thing is that it pays to residents of USA, UK, Canada and Australia only.

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.
Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.
Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).
The article "Earning Money from Surveys" provide a short list of legitimate market research firms and contains explanations of what to look for when joining surveys (and weeding out the fraudulent ones)

Online survey sites should not charge you anything to participate. I'm a member of a few of them, one of them I can't divulge because they have a strict privacy policy amongst their members. That one sends you a 5 dollar check for every survey and occasionally samples of new products to evaluate. I get about $300 a year from them. The only way to sign up for this program is if you happen to see their banner somewhere on the web and they post it only when they need to expand their membership. I was lucky enough to spot it one day.
Another one is MySurvey.com. Most quick surveys get you 10 points and sometimes you'll be asked to complete survey's for higher point values. Once you accumulate 1000 points you can redeem them for a $10.00 check, various prizes, donate them to charity or us them for entries into lotteries for bigger prizes. I've gotten about $40.00 from them so far.
I'm also a member of e-rewards, which lets you accumulate rewards dollars and then cash them out for frequent flyer miles, magazine subscriptions and discounts with a few online merchants and car rentals. There are some draw backs to e-rewards though. You can only cash out from each vendor once a year and the redemption options are VERY limited.
Stay away from Panda Research...the things they call surveys are actually sign up options that will result in loads of spam coming to your email address and will eventually require you to buy something that you probably don't want.
I know there are plenty more sites out there, but I don't have time to do any more of them.

I am registered with Valued Opinions. They send me online surveys on various subjects with a payment of £1 - £2 for each one I complete. When my account reaches £5 I can collect my payment in vouchers for various high street and internet shops. The surveys are fun and easy to do, and I have always received any payment due to me. Don't expect to make a fortune though!

I've done surveys by ciao. the amount I got paid varied. The higher paying ones usually closed quite quickly, so I did ones that paid about 50p or £1.00 per survey for one that lasted about 20 mins. I've also done ones for 192.com which 'pay' me in free credits to search their website which was a lot more useful to me at the time. I don't know about any scams.

Yes I take paid surveys everyday from my laptop, I am with quite a few companies that i take surveys for. There is alot to know about paid surveys especially when you first start out.. so you dont end up wasting your time on a site that doesn't really send out high paying ones.. I recommend checking out the website in the sources section, this website has helped me for a while now. They have a tutorial to help you out.

I did zoom panel surveys for a little while, but It took about a year's worth of doing surveys before I got anything (it gives merchandise based on rewards for each survey, not money). In my opinion, most surveys are not worth the time.

I have received a one dollar check for taking surveys..........however, most of them give points and you can accumulate points and use them to purchase items. My points is a good one for that. There are quite a few of them..........so I suggest trial and error for the ones you may or may not like............good luck.
