I find football incredibly boring. They run up to the net to then turn around and start over. The scores are usually very low. I know it's the world's most watched sport but I just don't get it.

Sports better then Soccer....NFL(American Football), Golf, Hockey, Baseball, Nascar, IRL, AFL(Arena Football League), College Football, College Basketball, and College Hockey...ALL are so much better then Soccer..and in the U.S., Soccer (MLS) has horrbile ratings compared to all of this...which is amazing..shows how us Americans love sports other then boring Soccer.

Well, the origins of Football (soccer) are working class, so it cost no money to play, as any two items can be the goal posts and any round object could be the ball. So unlike a lot of sports around the time of football being invented. Tennis/Rugby/Golf and so on. This was the worlds first totally working class game. So, when the Europeans went and gave it to South America also. The game exploded in popularity.

Why do people see the fact that it is such a low scoring game as a bad thing? It means that every goal is special, unlike Basketball, where there are over 200 points scored in a game. It means that because there is often 1 goal between the two teams, either team can win, as it only takes 10 seconds to score a goal. Unlike a basketball game, which is often over by half time and therefore boring.

Either you haven't giving the sport a chance, or you just don't care for the sport. I feel the same when it comes to Gold and Nascar. However, the World Cup is a great tournament where different countries meet in a neutral country to find out who the top team in soccer will be for the next four years. The formation of the tournament is great and all the teams have a chance to win it all.

Futbol is a great game, so much skill and elegance. I don't know about 28 billion people watching the final game, because there are only about 7 billion people on earth. But I heard that 1.8 billion people watch the world cup. The US is the only place where soccer is not the main sport.

Many countries play in the World and the World like when US get wooped on international stage and lough at you.
And in baseball only Americans play which World not even know what that is and American football which only US plays and people of rest world are not intresting in.It the bents where you are born if you have American mentality of course you will not find World Sport exiting.

It's quite the opposite. If you have never played the sport it might be hard to digest. Maybe a niece or nephew of yours might play someday....go to their games.....you'll start to understand the excitement of the game. It's a great sport......they are not just running to the net and starting over. The game is a skill.

the scores are low ha! they would be low in american football also if every goal wasnt worth seven points and baseball are pretty low too and all they do is run around in circles basketball on the other hand isnt but it might if most goals werent worth 2 or 3 points it just depneds how you look at it.
