if i'm not mistaken toad tadpoles are arranged in a string and the frogs is clumped together

Difficult one - Id keep an eye on who layed the eggs - If it was a toad - odds on they will be toad tadpoles emerging from the said eggs . Eggs laid by a frog however are a totally different proposition .

Toad tadpoles are smaller and darker than frog tadpoles.

You don't. You would have to be familiar with the look of the specific breed and its tadpole.

PS: Maybe Answers doesn't have such a catagory, but just in case, frogs and toads are amphibians, not reptiles.

toads live on land---frogs live in the water---toads don,t have tadpoles--a tadpole or polliwog--is from a frog---no legs--never leave the water until they get legs!!---a baby toad--looks like---a baby toad!!

Size, coloring, etc. Things that become more evident as the tadpole matures.

the little black ones are toads the big green ones are frogs

marking on their backs. frogs are mostly smooth where toads or bumpy little animals
