respected by far...just because your feared does not mean your respected...just nobody wants to be around you because of the fear you create

honestly, i've found it better to be feared. people who are respected are targeted as easy marks, people try to take advantage of them knowing that they'll go out of their way to not lose respect. and from what i've seen, respect is generally only to a person's face.
whereas people who are feared are generally left alone due to the threat of reprisal, and even behind their back they remain feared.

i'm quite happy being feared. thus far, i've encountered no real negative side-effects other than a slight feeling of resentment from those who fear me and aren't sure why.

respected I think... if people fear you, they'll be uncomfortable approaching you with thoughts and ideas, if they respect you, then you get the full grasp of things going on around you and you can make better decisions. Definately a plus if you're in business, that way the people around you will know your words are solid.
