ive often wondered why insurance has so much political power. illegal not to have it & difficult to qualify for it.

I'm not sure what you mean by your question. However insurance companies set rates by the risks taken by businesses, the quality of materials used, the chances of accidents, etc. If it has to do with money and property, insurance coverage is a needed evil. It's like betting against yourself you need to beat the odds.
