I have around 20 of them that my husband keeps buying for every occasion and i dont have the heart to throw them away.How can I refill them at home?Do they do it at stores too?

Yes as far as I know all the mylar balloons that I have had can be refilled. My daughter has several that she loves to play with so I bought a small helium tank at Toys R Us for about 25 dollars and have refilled them at least 30 or more times. If nothing else take one by the grocery store and see if they can refill it. The ones I have don't seem to have any glue on them.

You can refill them if you're very careful how you open the neck valve to let the old helium out. You have to carefully pry the neck tab open so that there are no rips or leaks. Then, after you refill it with helium, you need to have some way to reseal the neck. I've used glue and tape, but I find the best way is to roll up the neck tab, the use a rubber band to hold it tightly closed.
You can buy tanks of helium at stores such as Factory Card Outlet or Sam's Club.

Yes you can refill them at home if you have a helium tank. They now sell the small ones at local party supply stores for about $25 Some stores do it too I think they charge 50cents per balloon to refill them. I usually keep mine mylar baloons too. When I was younger I would flatten them out and tape them on my wall. How cool!

No. Sorry. I know what you mean though, I keep them too. But when they get filled at the store and they take them off the pump, there's this glue at the mouthpiece that glues the sides together and you can't undo it without damaging the balloon. Try making a nice collage or something out of them!

You should be okay blowing them up the day before. Just don't expose them to extreme heat or cold. Room temp should make them last just fine. =)
