human beings are able to perceive sounds between 20 and 20000 hertz.the sounds having frequencies above the 20 kilo hertz mark are termed as ultra sonic sounds. And for futher information the sounds having frequencies below 20 hertz are termed as infrasonics. though all this may vary from animals to humans and in humans too because of the different biological formations. BY THIS VARIATION I MEAN THE VALUE OF THE PERCEIVENCE OF SOUNDS FREQUENCY MAY VARY.

ultrsonic means sound waves of frequency higher than 20,000 Hz.these sound waves are inaudible. Bats are able to detect ultrasonic waves..
