Human nature..

we are naturally competitive.. basically comes down to power and security.. you can never have enough

more money, more stuff, more power, more security

Maybe because instead of being grateful for what we have.. we see what someone else has that is better than us..and we want it. We are always looking up and being disappointed instead of looking at people less fortunate than ourselves and being grateful for what we have.
So many of us on yahoo answers have been blessed to live in parts of the world where our basic needs for survival are so easily attained and we do not normally actively recognize other areas of the world where this is not the case. Simple things like being able to come on this site and state out opinions and not get killed for it are things that we have to sit back and realize sometimes to keep things in perspective.
If you have a roof over your head, some food in the fridge and pantry, clothes on your back, and running water...jump up and down for joy...and be happy...because there are too many people who can't say they have these things.

Because by nature we always tend to think the ""grass is greener"" it takes a lot of analyzing to be happy and realize the good one has...

Because we are sinful by nature, we cannot be satisfied with what we have...we always want more. If it was easy, then there would be many more good Christians in the world.

Unfortunately most of us want what we do not have and measure ourselves against the values of what everyone one else has accomplished. I don't know that you are ever satisfied until you really like yourself and are comfortable with yourself.

I would like to know too...maybe it is b/c we know that others seem to live better than us and we want it too and we often do not realize that so many others have it worse than us as well. Ironic.

cuz you have prolly never really done with out... I mean really been with out..... food or shelter the things that really matter...
