A very good inexpensive gloss is Bonnie Bell. I read about it in a issue of Teen People my daughter had. We tried it and were both hooked now.

Revlon Super Lustrous - great smell (vanilla), staying power and range of colours. Tiny bit too sticky. My faves are Glossy Rose and Nude Lustre. Pink in the Afternoon is nice over pink lipstick, it's sheer and a very pale pink. Shine That Pink is a bestseller.
Smashbox - love it! Best staying powder and not drying or flaky etc. Not too shiny. I like Hype.
Cargo - not sticky, groovy packaging and great range of colours. Comes in a huge twin with two shades. Lasts for ages.
Benefit - in Streakin. Great colour, sheer, non sticky. Only downfall is doesn't last very long. But fun to reapply.
Body Shop gloss in the little pots. Great taste and high shine and moisture-packed.
I've heard Rosebud Salve or Burt's Bees is good too. Good luck!
In summary I would buy a Revlon gloss and then probably Benefit's Streakin. Smashbox for night time.

Shiseido Lip glosses are really nice and light, but come in few colors. Chanel glosses are also a good feeling formula in more colors, but more expensive.
Also, you might want to try and use a company that tries to use more natural ingredients like Origins or Aveda.

Clarins makes a great gloss. The counters can be a little harder to find, but worth the search. You don't want their actual gloss, though, you want what is called a balm. Their balm is very good for your lips, plus it looks good and feels great on. They just added several pretty colors to their line, as well.

Totally understand you! I had the same problem. The ones that have worked for me are: Mary Kay and Benefit lip gloss. Benefit brand can be found at Macy's stores.

I love the Stila lip glazes - Guava is a good colour. They're easy to use, and they look great. That left me with itchy lips though.
I've switched to using just Burt's Bees Lip Balm under Smith's Rosebud Salve. Burt's Bees protects my lips and leaves it tingling, and Rosebud Salve is easy to apply and gives it a light healthy sheen.
And both these products added together still costs less than half of the Stila Lip Glaze! sigh...

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a gloss with lots of shine I would go for Stila Lip Glaze.

Mary Kay. Best freeking stuff EVER. (I might be a bit biased since I sell the stuff, but I only started selling it because I love it!) Also try their Satin Lips Lip Balm. Makes your lips SUPER soft and nice and has a nice shine, but isn't sticky.
