Disney is a 0-9 years old park. Any older and it is just plain boring and way too expensive. Universal is better with its adjacent Islands of Adventure but is still too dedicated to scenery and not rides. If you're looking for a park with rides go to Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, only about an hour or so from Orlando. BGA has much better coasters than both Disney and Universal combined with their Montu (voted the #10 best coaster in the world), SheiKra (voted one of last years' best new attraction), and Kumba (also voted a top 50 coaster)

WDW

There is something there for any age group.

Small children? Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom.
Teens? EPCOT, MGM. Pleasure Island.
Adults? World Showcase, Cirque du Soleil.

Thrill rides? Mission Space, Expedition Everest, Rock'n'Roller Coaster.
Water Parks? Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon.

If you know when to go, you can avoid most of the waiting in line. You can also spend 5 or 6 days and still not see it all, while with Universal 2 to 3 days and you're done.

I definitely liked Universal Orlando (and the Isle of Adventures) better. I think Disneyworld is more kid and family oriented. But Universal the rides are more exciting and there is just a lot more fun stuff to see and do as an adult. :) It was fun to be able to drink there too. :) The Jurrasic park area is really cool too.

I preffer Disney there's more to it then just the rides, it's well designed and very diverse. I think theres something for every one at Disney where as Universal it's more on the seriouse side not to colorfull and eye catching but hey what do i care lol i got Express Passes for the both of them but Disney will always be my first pick.

I agree, it depends on your age. When I was younger (I'm 22 now) and before I started riding roller coasters, I preferred Disney. However, now I prefer Universal because their rides are geared more towards teenagers and older.

Hands down....Disney World. I could go there every day. The lines aren't as bad a t Universal, but that's because the rides suck.

I didn't go to universal studios but i did go to Disney world, and it was all right but there were only two or three good rides, like rollercoasters. the twilight zone tower of terror was really cool . and i talked to some other people who had gone to universal and they said that it was more cooler rides
