When I was a very young girl, I wanted to be a nurse, but as I grew up I realized I hate needles and don't have the stomach for a lot of things a nurse has to do. It's strange though, because now I have a daughter that will be finished with her nurse's training very shortly.
I am very proud of her that she can do something I was not able to do.

After going through a hurricane when I was 4 I wanted to be a weatherman. Then in junior high I thought maybe an accountant. Then I joined the Air Force when I was 17 (delayed enlistment). I never really knew WHAT I wanted out of life. Still don't.

When I was eight, I wanted to be a dancer and a actor, and move to LA to be on Soul Train and in a comedy show. I was good at it in school and around my family. But my mother said homos are in those fields and she didn't want me to be one, so she made me take piano. Well I never liked piano. Played for four yrs and still only know five notes today. I came out the closet at fourteen, pissed her off, got regected and left home at fifteen. But hey, still dancing and acting crazy....just not getting paid like they do now!

I would rather go back to being a kid where everything was exciting and new, when a good time was watching the late movie with dad on a friday night, way before I knew the world wasn't a magical and wonderful place.

I wanted to be a dancer but for that I needed to continue dancing throughout my life... my parents moved around, divorced, etc...so I ended dropping dance and it was hard to get back into it, you need to be very flexible. I chose business and it's a great way to make a living, but I do love to dance on the weekends to anything they play.
