Has anyone ever come up to you and told you to change your ringtone because it was very offensive?

my ringtone is you give love a bad name by bon jovi.....but i almost changed it to the french national anthem....but i think people might take offense to it...seeing i live in the USA

No. WHAT is YOUR ring-tone?

Go for the French National Anthem if you want. I'll bet most people in the USA wouldn't know what it was anyway. Its not like we hear it all the time during the Olympics or anything. I suppose fans of the film Casablanca would recognize it, but most of them are probably older than you and hang out in different circles. Personally, I would find Bon Jovi far more offensive myself.

Once, a ringtone of groaning and moaning offended women. They looked at the guy with that ringtone till he looked embarrassed.

Someone will always be offended by something. Someone once tried to get snow white banned from libraries for graphic violence. I would just put on the ring tone if you want to.
