Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

The main thing in life is not the victory but the fight; the essential thing is not to have won, but to have fought well.

As long as there are tests, there will be prayer in public schools.

A self-righteous liberal with a cause is more dangerous than a Hell’s Angel with an attitude.

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Never be first, never be last, and never volunteer.

These are the measures of a man: That he has traveled far, that he speaks well, and that he can fight. That he has traveled, for travel brings wisdom; that he speak well to speak well of what he has seen; and that he can fight to whip the man that doubts his stories.

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

~Edmund Burke

I've actually adopted this seemingly simply statement as my personal motto. It is how I live my life. I am far too principled to stand idly by while evil or injustice is being done. I must act to intervene and I do so unfailingly. It often gets me into a great deal of trouble, even danger, but I can be no other way. My friends already understand this about me; my foes soon learn to.

And Caesar's spirit raging for revenge
with Ate by his side come straight from hell
shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
cry,"Havoc!" and let slip the dogs of war!
