Yes, I agree.

People go on there and talk
about how much of a life they
have and I'm like well if your life
is so busy then why are you
writing a whole novel on your god
forsaken myspace?

I don't have a myspace, and I don't want one.

It depends, if when someone registers feels that way...

I used just for the fun of it, no personal information or anything similar, my network is made of family, friends form church and a couple of music sites...

Of course, there is people who uses it as "a sad concoction for people with low self esteem to toot their own horns"

But I think it all depends on the person...Will you fill that way if you happen an account on myspace?

If you don't consider that my store and website have made a little under $20,000 just from networking with and meeting ppl on MySpace , then yeah. It's a sad concoction and I'm crying all the way to the bank.

I find its a great way to keep in touch with friends and also check out new bands. Only yesterday a friend who i haven't seen or spoken to in about 3-4 years contacted me and we are meeting up for drinks soon. Now i may never have seen him ever again had i not been on myspace.. you never know!

Granted there are a hell of a lot of posers on there but there not doing anyone harm so what the hell

not necessarily. i have found it a great way to connect with people from high school and college that i haven't seen in a long time. and my husband uses it to promote his music. he has booked several gigs as a result of connections made on myspace. true, some people use it as a way to boost there self-esteem, but not everyone. some people just think it's fun to have their own little space on the internet.

Not necessarily. I have several friends that use myspace and I'd say they have high self esteem. Myspace is just a way to connect to other people online and to express yourself.

No, I thought the same thing until I actually tried it. I have met people in my community with the same interests and reunited with people I was friends with years ago and had no way of knowing where they were. It's a hell of a lot cheaper than telephone and very good for networking. I've had offers come in for photographers just from carefully choosing my networking.

It may seem that way. I have friends who are absolutley obsessed with My Space. They always talk about it and I never really saw why it was so great. So I guess it depends on the person.
