Time travel is not completely ruled out by the laws of physics, although it would be extremely difficult.
However, if you were to do that, nothing would happen, but it is thought the Universe would split into one where you exist, but your grandfather, and therefore father do not.
It's a lot like the quantum mechanics approach to Schrodinger's cat paradox. The cat is in a state of being dead and alive at the same time, which can be explained very well with the mathematical construct that two Universes coexist with one having the cat dead and the other having the cat alive. It isn't until you open the box and see the cat do you force its hand so to speak, and the Universe splits into the one that had the cat in the state you found it.

Many think that if travelling back in time is possible it would be to a parallel universe (of which many in the scientific community believe are almost certainly an infinite number of parallel universe). If this is the case and you went back and killed your grandfather, you would still exist but you would not be born in that universe. Of course in an infinite number of parallel universes you would not succeed in doing so, but in another infinte number you would succeed in doing this.
You would no longer exist in your original universe and there is some debate on whether you could return to your original universe and if you would even notice any difference.
But really would the grandfather you murder really be your actual grandfather? He may look, sound, feel, smell and even taste the same but he is in a totally different universe. How can they be the same person?

Lets say that you created a Time Machine and did indeed go back in time and did kill your grandfather b4 your father was born then...Your father would not be alive so you wouldn't be wanting to kill your grandfather for, the Mar thought wouldn't be in your mine. For you wouldn't exist at all to think such a thought

Nobody knows what would happen. That's why most scientists believe that time travel is physically impossible for anything macroscopic.
Of course, it is possible that a time machine could only travel back as far as the instant of its creation, but then there would be the same problem with your grandchild.

Firstly, I too agree that you wouldn't want to kill your grandfather.
Secondly, although this is impossible at the moment, according to Einstein's concept of time machine states that if a person travels by the speed of light (which he himself said was not possible), one could reach ahead in time OR stop the time. One can't go BACK in time unless he travels at a speed MORE than that of light.

I don't know who said it, but the best answer I have heard on the subject, when a person was asked if time travel was possible was, "If time travel is possible, then where is everybody?"
If someone in the future is able to discover the means to travel through time, then we would theoretically have an infinite number of people traveling time, because time is infinite. Since we don't see anybody, it's pretty good circumstantial evidence that time travel is not possible.

You would be forever stuck in a dual time loop. One loop you kill your grandfather so your dad and you are not born, therefor you cannot go back and kill him so he lives has his son, and you are born. Then the cycle starts again.

As far as I know, time machines are against the law of nature, so this doesn't seem to be a problem.
