Volcanos tend to form at the points where tectonic plates meet. One notable exception is Hawaii, which is formed over a hot spot in the middle of the pacific plate.

Volcanoes are generally found in the "Pacific Rim" which is a ring of volcanoes going from Japan to Mexico curving up through Russia. This is where most Volcanoes are found.

mostly in the area called the ring of fire(pacific rim). honestly, most of the live and active volcanoes are in indonesia, philipines, hawaii and japan. they are mostly located on island continents. there is also volcanoes in new zealand. usually earth quakes prone countries have volcanoes.

Before having a country ,the volcano is found under the sea,In mauritius there is a dormant volcano known as Trou- aux- cerf,a dormant volcano is a sleeping volcano it can erupt at any time.
