Brokeback mountain is a sucky movie for a variety of reasons! Agree? Or do you like it? Why?

I went to watch it cause my friend thought it was a "fine" movie. I almost pucke... and Im a girl.... I bet straight guys won't hold it until the end.
The movie is not a love story, cause if it was "real love" they were together and not got married with women and have kids.
There's some gaps at the movie, so means that is not directed right. For example, one was from Texas, the other one was from Winsconsin. They were apart for 5 years, and one day the from Texas sent a letter.... by miracle? how he found the address? the guy from Winsconsin were living in another place.
The movie really sucks! is nasty and stupid!
I don't understand how it was Oscar nominade and won! OMG I think the Oscar is not true anymore.
And it won at the MTV movies awards "best kiss" and best performance! HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT POSSIBLE?

It's a touching story of love, betrayal, societal pressure, and friendship. The writing and photography are superb. What's not to like? Hey, I'm completely straight, but the powerful story well-told made it a good movie.

i thought it was sucky too, untill i actually saw it. Once you get past the sex and smut, the movie has a beautiful message for life. both ennis and jack wasted thier lives living in both worlds, and they ended up unhappy with thier lives. They did what they felt was "proper" for the world, and so sacrificed their happiness. becuase they tried living the secret life, ennis ended up lonely, poor, and loveless. he was the lucky one, jack....well im not gonna ruin the movie. If they had just followed thier hearts, theyd be happy living together somewhere, in love and working together. becuase they were afraid of what other people might say, they lived miserably. it shows you, if something feels right, if your sure about something but you dont want other poeple to think your weird, do it anyway, becuase otherwise your life will be a waste. DONT LISTEN TO THE MEDIA DONT LISTEN TO WHAT OTHERS SAY IS RIGHT FOLLOW YOUR HEART

It was an excellent movie. Why did I like it? It shows a bond between 2 people that couldn't be together because "Society" didn't think it was right. It was a great but SAD story!

I think it was a really good movie, and so does my husband. If you can watch a movie about two lesbiens, then why not two men? I do not agree with ANYONE being gay, its not right, but it was still a good movie, it could have been made without them being gay and still been a good one!

If the movie were about a male/female romance would you have bothered to have gone and seen it? It's a unique love story and one we don't hear about very much.

It was okay I just thought it was too long.Good grief That's all you saw was them touching each other for another hour it was too long who cared it could've been alot shorter.
