Staple? Your first resume shouldn't be more than a page long. If it is, adjust the margins (no less the 1"!) and your layout...and remove/shorten descriptions of jobs that aren't really relevent to what you're applying for.

i have not had to submit a resume other than electronically for over 5 years. i do carry a stapled copy to the interview in case i am meeting with someone who does not already have a copy.
btw, nay is right. unless you have years of experience like me you don't want a resume longer than one page so you would not need a staple or a cover just some nice professional paper to print it on.

Try not to staple your resumes together, I would use the clear report cover. It looks more nice and plus you don't have to worry about smudges..

Both work. It depends on the job position. If it's Medical- DO NOT utilize a cover. Keep your extras coveedr & then you can staple them as you need to. Most company's appreciate a non-cover approach. Don't forget your cover letter.

Well I work in a department where we get alot of resumes, and it's best not to put it in any form of binder, staples will do. In fact, you don't even have to staple the pages together. if you can send it in a big envelope so that you won't have to fold them, that's even better.
Good luck job-hunting.

Neither. A resume should be on nice thick Ivory or off White paper. Other than appearance, this is the first impression you are giving to an employer. Make it count.

dont staple it. keep it as short as possible, not more than two pages, but one page is best. and put in a cover letter too and make sure its an amazing letter that will stick out in the reader's mind. tweak the letter to each particular employer.
