Why is Air America so boring? Is it because the America 'haters" running it are simply not funny?

Look at Rush Limbaugh. You may not agree with him but at least he's funny.

Actually, I probably should have used the word "entertaining" instead of "funny."

I can see from some of the answers why Air America is neither entertaining nor funny.

Air America Radio is boring for many reasons. The main one being is that liberals truly DO believe that conservative radio is full of hate, so their misguided attempt to counter right-wing radio is PURE left-wing hate. Libs don't realize that conservative radio is mostly tongue-in-cheek humor.

So instead of coming up with their own original brand of radio, AAR is content with simply being "anti-conservative". Their entire existence on the air is about spreading the most poisonous humor they can ... no thoughtful criticism, no analysis of events ... just a constant stream of insults and a canned laugh-track.

A good analogy for AAR is that they are the kid on the playground that is great at throwing insults. They can spit out a steady stream of "yo mamma" jokes and verbal cut-downs; they can do it so fast that you never have a chance to get a word in ... and when they are done, they are the only ones laughing after their tirade. Basically it's just a way for them to entertain themselves and feel superior. Whereas conservative feel superior by winning elections.

But think about it, most of the people they put on the air were/are writers for failed television shows. They couldn't make a successful career at producing shows people wanted to watch, so now they are failures at writing for a radio program that people want to hear.

You obviously find Air America boring because you don't agree with the views of its hosts. Why do you listen to radio programs with whose hosts you disagree? Also, Al Franken is 10 times funnier than Rush Limbaugh (and smarter, too).

By the way, if anything, it's the liberals who actually love America. At least we're the ones who believe that the President should be democratically elected and who believe that our Founding Fathers didn't intend for there to be domestic spying!

The ultraliberal hosts on there stopped being funny when they crosses the line and gave up their primary jobs as comedians. They can only answer by being mean and hateful and having a get-in-your-face attitude because that's the only way they can try to compete with the more knowledgeable conservatives. When you hear all the crap espoused by them, it's no wonder their meek attempt at talk radio is flailing.

Rush IS funny.He's also a nationalist,which gives little minds something to cling too,hence ratings.Aparently accuracy is not an issue.

Most people who would partially agree with progressive talk listen to music and don't vote regularly.

Air America is SNORE AMERICA because humor is best when it contains a grain of truth.

The hate mongers on Snore America don't make clever observations about reality, they distort reality. The air personalities on that station are just bitter about everything. They are like babies who don't haven't yet learned how to communicate, so they cry and have temper tantrums.

Because they have nothing new to say. They haven't offered any solutions - only criticisms and complaints of Bush and admin. It's awfully depressing, and who wants to be depressed all day? Another reason is that you will haer the same crap on ABC, NBC,CBS, CNN, MSNBC, and etc.
