Yes, men should have a choice to wear whatever they feel comfortable in.(Very Long Answer) I am a straight guy that enjoys wearing skirts, and blending clothing of both sexes.(besides clothing has no gender) I started by wearing one of my girlfriends denim mini-skirts, that actually looked like a pair of cut-off jean shorts, and I had no problems at all, we were staying out of town during some really hot days, and I had not packed any shorts.I was hooked, and now have a small collection of my very own. (three denim mini's and two plaid kilt type mini's) They are a lot more comfortable, and cooler then knee length shorts, The denim skirts, usually do not seem to draw as much attention,as the plaid skirts do. I have noticed that while wearing skirts, that women seem more friendly, and likely to strike up a conversation,However, I do not know if that means they accept it, or not. or what they have to say about it later. I have actually had more compliments, than negative reactions.(usually from teenage girls) My best expierience was just recently while shopping in Kohl's juniors dept.by myself looking at skirts, and was approached by a young female clerk, asking if I needed any help, when I told her that I was looking for a skirt, she asked me what size she wore? I laughed and told her it was for me, she said no way, then I came around the clothing rack and showed her that I was wearing a denim skirt, she looked shocked, then said cool. She than took me over to the clearance rack, and said there were a lot of them real cheap, to my suprise she stayed and helped me look thru for my size, and she found a denim mini, with a belt and button down pockets (cargo style) that she said would look very unisex, and I found a Mudd that I liked. I asked her if I could take them to the mens dept. to try them on, I was sure that she would let me go, but she laughed and she said sure if I would step out so she could see how they fit. I still think that she didn't believe that they were for me, but She seemed to be really into the idea of a guy in a skirt. (I know that I am hooked on Kohl's now) I would like to read more views from the women out there , and if you would prefer bare legs, or hairy legs underneath, my friends seem to be mixed on this. I hope that in the near future, that skirts will catch on, and be more accepted for men to have more choice in there wardrobe. And if you women do approve to guys wearing skirts, tell your man. Guys try it, you might like it. But be careful, it could be addictive (lol) (sorry bout such a long post) Peace out, jenisis

Wear what feels comfortable and healthy for you ! YOU and only you and possibly your partner should decide what to wear. I know MANY, MANY, MANY couples out there who get together with both of them or just the male in a skirt and they have never every had any problems in public with what they are wearing together. A skirt is just a piece of clothing. Originally skirts were worn by males as were heels, because horse riders needed something cool and comfortable while being able to keep their feet in sterups for long periods of time so heels were originally made for males alone. Do what feels right and ignore the idiots. Enjoy YOUR life not the way others want you to limit your life... ;-)

Kilts aren't skirts for f*cks sake! They are kilts, end of story. Try telling any of my countrymen that they wear a skirt and see where they stick their sgian dubhs! (For the uneducated the sgian dubh is a knife handily stored in the sock)

Contrary to what you might believe, skirts are not that comfortable, and horrible to wear in the winter cause you can only wear pantyhose to keep your legs warm...tights with skirts...not that attractive.
And sarongs...well, unless they were held up by a belt...not that easy to keep tied...always having to adjust them.
So should men be able to wear skirts? OK sure, fine. But why would they? Pants are way more sensible and comfortable.
Plus, going 'commando' in pants not as disconcerting as going 'commando' in skirts :)

Not skirts it is Kilt -any short, pleated skirt, esp. a tartan wraparound, as that worn by men in the Scottish Highlands,to draw or tuck up, as the skirt, about oneself.

well i suppose if guys want to wear a skirt they could wear a kilt.. hehehe my friend does sometimes:) he is part Scottish though.. and he plays bagpipes.. but still.. hey it could be a new movement in the US if enough guys wanted to, but i think they like their pants.. if they wore skirts it would take away their masculinity...
