Yes, I think so.
Wiki has a whole article on it. Here's what they say;
Along with Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman, Nessie is one of the best-known mysteries of cryptozoology. Most mainstream scientists and other experts find current evidence supporting Nessie unpersuasive, and regard the occasional sightings as hoaxes or misidentification of mundane creatures or natural phenomena.

Probably, but I'm one of those who wish it were real.
I saw a History channel show about the subject. It said at some time, a bunch of radar boats lined the loch and did their xray thing across the whole distance the lake and nothing was found. But, here in the US, either at Lake Champion or Lake Okee...something or the other (long Indian name, I can't remember it right now) there was a sonar test done and the results were that there was a sonar sound on the recording that had not been identified (at the time when the show was taped...?)
So, I think Nessie's pretty much been tested and tested again without scientific evidence found to support the existence of an unknown creature but there have been sightings in the US that can keep your curiosity/hope up.

Not sure, their are those that have pictures and other kinds of "evidence" so to speak, people believe what they are going to believe whether it be myth, or hoax or both or maybe not even either. I would like to think that something like the Loch Ness exist. As, much as it's been on TV, and documentaries have been done about it.

No, because there have been similar species discovered throughout other areas of the wolrd, many of them in the United States. Lake Champlian, The San Francisco Bay are just some areas where thousands have discovered similar creatures.

Oh, yes! The lake doesn't have enough food in it to support a viable breeding population of the things. It is kind of fun to imagine and wonder though. And it is great for telling stories about too.

No, I believe when Armageddon comes he will be the great Leviathan that destroys big portions of the world. Right now he is just hibernating, waking up long enough to keep himself alive and fed.
