Verizon is the best its just more expensive the people at Cingular are rude and most of them seem not to know whats going on also even though Cingular says they have the least dropped calls its not true when I had them most of my calls were dropped and with T-Mobile almost all of my calls were dropped you really don't want to go with Cingular or T-Mobile. I have Sprint and I love them the people are polite and the service is great I've never had a dropped call. I would say go with Verizon though because if I could afford them I would. The only thing is if you don't have credit then you'll have to pay $400 for the dedutible thats also with T-Mobile and Cingular while with Sprint its $150.

It depends on where you live. Check to see which is better in your area. Cingular works in more places if you travel a lot. If you want to use Mobile Web or anything using the internet with your service, Verizon is the best of all the phone services. Also Cingular has rollover minutes and better family plans. So Cingular is the overall best.

Verizon is better in my opinion. I've had both and with Cingular, I lose signal all the time and drop calls all the time. Coverage areas are better with Verizon, too. I don't know how many times I've been at a place in the middle of nowhere and I used to have service with Verizon but I don't with Cingular.

Hi from Dallas,

I stongly believe that Verizon is the best network and is a higher quality (less errors) connection. And I have traveled a lot!

Cingular will get there in a year or 2 (even though they self-proclaim that they are the best). You will have a wider choice of phones with Singular (as it is GSM-Based) at a bit cheaper price.

Hope this helps. Also, Verizon customer service is very nice and gives you special credits if something goes wrong.

cingular.
verizon is okay, but when we had them, we changed our plan in the middle of the billing cycle. when we got our bill it was huge. when we asked them why, they informed us that if you change in the middle of the month, the system does not recognize either plan, so you pay by the minute.
We finished the contract and switched to cingular. This was 4 or 5 years ago. We love cingular.

I can't tell a difference in sound quality or coverage area. Cingular has a small edge in dropped calls. I chose Cingular because at the time they had a little different plan that suited me better.

I have been with verizon for about four years and I have had no problems. I had tried switching to Cingular and the dumb idiots acted like they had no clue to their own products or services that they sold. Verizon for me. No offense to those that have cingular...
