Every time I walk with one pair of leather shoes, they squeak after every step. They aren't that new and they fit perfectly, but they still tend to squeak. How can I prevent this?

my shoes did that all the time. it is from the sweat on your feet. i would suggest you to put baby powder or some non sweat stuff on your feet. to lessen the squek on the shoes

when you're outside on a paved road or whatever, scrape them against the pavement a few times, this gets rid of the smooth surface of the soles. It seems like a mean thing to do to shoes, but it really does work

Make the leather softer with some ordinary white hand cream like Nivea or anything alike. You may apply a thick layer without any harm.

PS: Butter is not recommended, it will smell and get harder like any biological fat.

A very old remedy for this is to rub them with butter. The oil in the butter softens the leather. This does actually work!

Your foot arch might be too high for them, or, (please don't think I'm too much of a snob here), they are poorly made. I talk about this all the time. It is better to have fewer pairs of expensive shoes
rather than tons of cheap ones.
