Oh hell yeah she did. I was a huge No Doubt fan back in the day. Now she just sings annoying pop garbage.

No Doubt and Gwen Stefani only had so far they could go. They've traveled many years together and it is not as if she was the only person in the band to make decisions. The other members wanted something for themselves too. They don't want to always be known as the guys in Gwen Stefani's band. People change as they grow older and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Look at Madonna. She has been around for over 20 years and her whole image has changed every few years. If Gwen doesn't evolve, she won't be able to continue on as she has. Besides, her personal life is so much more important right now and just because she is a celebrity does not mean she owes anything to the public as far as making career decisions. Not everyone needs to be rich and famous forever.

Hell, she sold out years ago, when No Doubt went from Ska to Pop with just a little sprinkling of Ska on Tragic Kingdom.
But, wasn't No Doubt's last CD full of guest artists and producers like Prince and Ric Ocasek?
So with her solo CD she is just doing the same thing, and the guitar player from No Doubt either wrote or is on two of the songs from the CD.
The only good thing on the CD is the Martin Luther King inspired song with Andre 3000 from Outkast.

No she just evolved. Deep down she wanted the Madonna thing a long time ago and went she went solo she had her chance to do that.
No doubt couldn't last forever, nothing does.

For the amount of money she can make alone - without having to share - I would sell out as well.
Its all about the Benjamins
