I found that when you have a particularily tough stain the only way to get it out (I know it sounds weird) is to use coca cola in the wash with your detergent and a little bit of bleach. The only product that works this way is the real coke, though. You use only one tin. FIRST,You run your water and put the coke in with the bleach and detergent. Then you add your clothes or sheets.

A friend recently got a tattoo, it wept blood during the night, staining his white sheets. I advised him to use oxi-clean, a strong solution of the powder. Melt the powder first in hot water, then add cold. Soak until the stains are gone. Cold water is always best for any type of blood stain.

you could still use bleach, it will lighten the sheets a little, but stuff is sold to get rid of "protein" stains-i worked at a dry cleaners for years and we were always able to get blood out of things
