Average costs on the 98-00 R1's in Delhi, California are around $3500-$4000 in good condition under 18,000 miles,

The 01-03 R1's are averaging from $4500-$6800 in good condition.

The 04+ models are going $5500+ depending on condition.

Don't fall for flashy paint jobs, that usually means it's been in an accident, and don't be swept away by a bunch of add ons, better to buy an all stock bike and build it yourself.

The best place to look is www.Craigslist.com in the motorcycle section, always good deals there.
