Human nature.
Female or male finds the best way to be better than another person, whether it is looks,success, plastic surgery, a career,etc.
Everybody wants to look and be the best they can, but some people are just too emabarrassed to admit it.
Me like woman pretty and smart.
Me like woman good in bed and then able to give constructive criticism on my lovemaking techniques and why are Hollywood films so bad nowadays.*sigh*

Why let it bother you...there will always be someone more beautiful, more intelligent and so on and so on....Looks and intelligence is only a small part of the picture. If a woman is confident and has a strong self esteem that is what men want...not little boys home from summer on these boards!

If you mean, why are women competitive - well this is a primitive response - we are in competition for the best men!!
It can be depressing that women can't be more sisterly - but some are. It varies how much we try to be pretier and smarter. We can be good friends to each other too.

Men have the same problem dear, they have to be richer,smarter and more handsome than all the other men. Thats just how the society is. We are all searching for the perfect spouse. The one who is the complete package.
