Ideas are worth money. Really pay attention to what is around you and figure out what it is that people really would like to have or do. Usually it is something they don't even know they want. Just ask Bill Gates. Look where his ideas have gotten him. He bought hot mail for a large sum and let people use it free. Now don't that sound silly. Well not quite so silly at all when you know you can sell advertising space on it and make lots more than by selling the service. Just look around you and really take note of things. you may just be the next multi.

Become the CEO of a large corporation. Manage money for millionaires. Or become famous and use that to become rich. Marry a rich person, preferably an old rich person. Inherit the money from a rich person.
Get a good job and invest as much of your income as you can. No fancy new cars, no McMansion, no jet-setting around the world. It will take longer, but if you are young enough, it will happen. Unless you die first, of course.

It is possible to make money at home with the computer, but making a million dollars is going to require some innovative talent on your part. You have to come up with a product, or servive which is most desirable, and you must have a great volume of sustained customers. In theory this is what you have to do. Theory is easy to formulate, getting the job done is most difficult.

Politics
Rock and Roll
Acting
Drug Dealing (this could be illegal or at least dangerous)
If you are a girl, you could marry a rich man......then divorce him and take his money
