Does anyone know what the black plastic sheet is called that you can put on the ground so that you can lay mulch down? Im trying to look up pricing on it and cant find it.

Black plastic sheeting.Try weed mat.

You can not use plastic bags, it will not let the water get down to the soil and the mulch will wash right off of the surface during heavy rain. That being said it is called weed mat or weed fabric, the Home Depot sells it.

It is called Weed Block, Landscapers Cloth, etc.

Price depends on the size and amount you buy: 3ftx50ft, 6ftx50ft., 3ftx100ft, 6ftx100ft, etc.

look in any garden center. A 3ftx50ft roll is around $10.

Make sure you look at the directions - one side has to go up and the other side down

Hey you can just use plain old black plastic trash bags...You don't have to spend the money on the expensive stuff that is the same thing

You can also use newspaper if you are just planting flowers. It also helps because the ink acts as a fertilizer when it disolves into the ground.

garbage bag....highly technical, as is dirt and water.
