Yes, society is way over loaded and addicted.
I'm convinced you'll see more through out life in general becoming "Madness", if it's not happening already among Humans. " I've come to my senses, limiting time spent in front of the Tivo, not subscribing to newpapers, etc. "
First of all, skepticism is good, unless it keeps you from something good, in today's noisy, hectic world.
Unless people come to their senses, knowledge, and create a worldwide network of " Universities of Peace."
Example: "To place meditation lessons in every Classroom for any students who wants it. It's what students need and I've read where meditation is taught, students are much happier, eager to learn, any students, are our future."

Since I have a curious nature, I don't withstand the INFO STORM at all - I harness it and navigate through it. I actively seek out information on anything I have an interest in. It is a pleasure to be able to find detailed, specific information quickly - whether it be on medicine or pyramids on Mars.

I too have observed this phenomena. It is because this is answer number 4334 and if you add all the digits together you get 14. Add 14 to 60 and you get 1974. In 1974 people all of a suddenly got tired of Rock n Roll. They started going to Disco's. The bass beat of the disco music was so intense and the music was played so loud and there were lights everywhere. Well, this one guy sitting alone in the corner tapped his foot to the music. Then he invented dancing. Everybody just started dancing and then they would get hungry and go eat meatball sandwiches at 6 in the morning. So, as you can see, my disco dancing days turned me into a brilliant, very coherent, intellectual. Now I answer questions here, when I get home from my Garbage Man Job.

Yes, there is an information overlaod. On top of that, some of it is not even useful or appropriate for all audiences. I limit my intake and decide to peruse only one or two sources twice a day. Otherwise I would be constantly bombarded. I do not watch television at all. It works well for me and I am still able to participate in current event discussions when I so choose.

I don't consider it a storm, but rather a river on which I choose the vessel to ride in and whether I wish to traverse the speedy current in the middle or drifting lazily along the edge perhaps to tie up at a dock and gather my thoughts before continuing my journey. Life is to be savored and therefore one must choose how to best absorb the information imparted to one.

Agreed; we have an overabundance of info. Feed the dog and cats; smell the air; clean your pistol; just blow off those things that are not important that you can do nothing to change. The information overload has always been there; the only thing different is that we now have access to it.

It realy is an overload and burn out's are the end result. but i guess someone out there thinks the mind is a dumping ground. alot of information is as garbage and simply filling time. the variety of information is feeding the minds. some are glutonous so to speak, I further assert. there must be a road up there somewhere and they are filling the pot holes...

You are as overloaded as you want to be! Stop reading this website for starters, don't watch TV for hours. Try walking, reading a good book, or being with family and/or friends instead.
