Remember...you asked. The News Media deals in sensationalism and is liberally biased. They discovered after the war in Vietnam that they had the ability to not only to manipulate public opinion, but to create it. Doubt that? Remember the interview outside the Houston Dome with Katrina survivors when they were asked if the Bush administration had done all it could have done prior to the hurricane. When the survivors said yes and started saying it was their state and local government that had let them down...the reporter didn't know what to do with himself and kept trying to lead them in another direction. Just watch and listen to the way they direct questions and responses. You can't tell me they don't have an agenda. The situation in Iraq is another Vietnam...we never hear about the good that is being done unless we hear it from those who are returning from duty. Why? Because good things don't sell newspapers and don't make for good Nielsen ratings. Like you...I feel like I'm hearing the news on a loop....over and over until all I can do is change the channel. Then we get down to the quality and integrity with which reporting is done. Long gone are the Walter Cronkites...today's reporters have no apparent thoughts of their own. They all seem to be spouting the same rhetoric. Makes you wonder who is paying them to program the American public?

I don't watch the news or read the paper because I feel like the media tries SO hard to control what the general public thinks about EVERYTHING........Government, Celebrities, Local and National News.......It just KILLS me! I don't give a &*^# who Kevin Federline is cheating on Brit with OR what the Generals think about George W. Bush........Why can't they report on ALL the good in the world? Because human nature wants to see ALL the bad to make themselves feel better in their own crappy lives!

i hate seeing news that isnt news, just really stupid obvious things that shouldnt even be reported. things like teens drinking, and cops wanting more money to combat that problem like it is something new. Things like al-zarqui death in iraq may not stop the violence, what a shock. its just stupid calling those things news.

show me film - give me facts - leave your opinion at home - don't edit interviews to say something else - only use relevant statistics - quit trying to establish an agenda
