Yes its over for the heat! Their stats prove it. They shot 73% percent from the floor in game 1 and lost by double digits and then shot an NBA low 28% in game 2 and lost again by double digits. Shaq made a miserable 1-9 at the freethrow line and demolished the NBA record for lowest free throw percentage with only 8%. Not too mention Miami can build a lead but can never maintain it. In Game 1 they had an 18 point lead at half and wound up loosing by almost that much. In Game 2 they were leading by 10 close to the half when Jerry Stackhouse made three 3 pointers in the last minute along with Dirk and Terrys baskets. So they lost their lead and wound trailing by 16 at the half. The way they are playing now there is no way they even have a remote chance at winning the playoffs. The Mavs take it in 6 in Miami. Even ESPN analyist Marc Stein thinks the mavs will take it in six.
The Mavs have the toughest player in the series to guard: Dirk Nowitzki. Neither Udonis Haslem nor James Posey can do it without serious help. They have slashers and drivers (Howard, Jerry Stackhouse and Devin Harris) and another good shooter (Jason Terry) to (A) capitalize on the double-teams Nowitzki is sure to draw and (B) cause defensive, stamina and foul-trouble problems for Shaq by attacking the rim and quickening the pace.
They have more wild-card looks to throw at Miami, like playing Keith Van Horn and Nowitzki together to try to pull O'Neal away from the rim and keep Alonzo Mourning rooted to the bench.
Dallas also has a coach, incidentally, who reaches his players as well as Riley does, even though Avery Johnson has 20 fewer seasons of experience.
This series will be played at a speed that drains Shaq's effectiveness. I'm also figuring that Howard's length and activity will nag Wade more than this flu he can't shake.
The Mavs, furthermore, are better equipped than anyone Miami has seen in the playoffs so far to expose the two biggest weaknesses these Heaters have been dealing with since Riley re-did the roster:
• A shaky perimeter defense that exposes Shaq to extra fouls trying to protect the rim.
• A lack of consistent perimeter shooting to space the floor for Shaq and Wade.

The NBA should be called the national bs association the tv network pulls for a team each year and thats the one that wins. The refs call one way and they make rules to take away centers like shaqs power at the sport. I stopped watching after the pistons who are terrible won a few years ago.Until the make it a sport agian I refuse to watch. But really all sports have gone that way. With reviewing and all this crap what happened to a real athlete who did not take steroids and played from the heart not to make there wallet bigger. Dallas sucks if they win its only because is entertainment and not a sport anymore. The NBA is looking for the next Jordan and thats why they pull this crap. I got some news there will never be another Jordan ever unless they take steroids and cheat. But I would not put it past the NBA. I caught the highlieghts on espn of game 2 the whole dallas team should have fouled out in the first half. And five steps is not walking. But if shaq moves its walking. If wade jumps in your face its a foul. THe best thing for the refs is to gets a job at walmart and stay away from a basketball court. But they are doing there job making sure the choosen team wins.

No! Miami is down but not out. Wade is a tremendous talent, but he has to play with a little more control. We all saw how he can dominate a game with his performance against the Pistons. O'Neal needs to have the rock in his hands. Miami's entry passes to O'Neal need to be quicker, before the Dallas defense has a chance to set up the double-team. Walker and Posey need to take the ball to the rack more often, rather than relying on a perimeter game. The Miami crowd will energize the Heat in Game #3.

Yes, I think it is over. Miami has no answer for Dallas' bench. Miami's bench was outscored 24-2 in Game 1 and 41-20 in Game 2. Shaq is not the dominant force he used to be and Dwayne Wade can't do it by himself.

Looks like Shaq is getting too old and D. Wade can't carry them. I hope they step up and make it a series but at this point I am not counting on it.
The Mavs look like the better all around basketball team right now and I don't think Miami has an answer.

Yep, it's over. Can't match Dallas's bench, have no good matchup for Nowitzki, and Dallas is making a concerted effort to shut down Shaq. Had Detroit shot decently, Miami wouldn't even be in the finals, but since they are, they're going to get demolished.

Not if they can win tonight. The Heat have to get back to playing the way they did against Detroit and remember that Dallas is a younger and quicker team so they just need to take care of the basketball and play their game and they'll be fine.

Yes, and no. They are halfway to being eliminated, but they are playing their next three games at home. If Shaq can channel his frustration on his opponents and not his teammates, then the heat have a CHANCE to take the series in seven games. Kudos to the NBA for fining his butt 10,000 for refusing to speak to the media after the game, WE who watch and buy NBA merchandise pay these guys salaries and they owe us some face time whether they play great or not.
