I like to think of the afterlife (heaven) as a library. You go in, and can spend as long as you like choosing a new book. You can choose any life, pauper, king, celebrity, norm, etc, and then you check it out. You're reborn into the life you chose. While you're in the library you remember all the lives you've had before, which is why you would choose to be a homeless guy, if you've spent the last lifetime being so incredibly rich you couldn't bear it. But when you check your book out, you forget again, and live life as we all do. I'm not sure if the books are completely defined, or if there's still free will within them - for change, or bettering oneself... perhaps there are second editions for next time....

I think we go where we believe we will go.

I have had a near death experience and, llike others I've heard about, it was like travelling down a long corridor towards a ball of light.

I could hear voices of loved ones. It was a dreamy feeling.

But it wasn't my time to die and so I cam beack here again, which was great, as I've got lots left I want to do!

forget about the spirit non sense, not that it doesn't exist, but it's not really important, what ever it is. when you die, you are dead, finished, off, asta lavista baby. so you don't have to worry about any thing, no body means no life, no feelings, no thinking, no dreaming, nothing. after that there is the Resurrection of the body, i don't think it's hard with DNA and all that stuff. then it's heaven, hell, or the middle land between them.

I wish I knew. I have lost too many people to even discuss on here but what i would love to be able to know is exactly that---
I'm not religious in anyway but i do believe there is a place where the soul goes.. I can imagine the body being a temple and the soul being kept somewhere safe-- thats the only way i can deal with death....................

You float around in a world of nothingness, not thinking or seeing or knowing. You could be in this world for years or decades untill you are born again into this world to live another life. That is what I think, but it is one of the worlds great questions that we will probably never know the answer to. Good one!

You don't go anywhere, when you die, where is, "there", to go?
Your body returns to the dust it came from, your mind just ceases to exist, your soul is free to do what it wants, without the encumbrance of body and mind.
So there is nothing to worry about really is there?

That depends on what your religious beliefs are. Your physical body will be buried or cremated and will once again become part of the Earth, what happens to your soul depends in what god, if any, you believe in.

I believe we go to the spirit world to wait for the resurrection of our body and spirit.

The body rots in the ground. Your soul goes to heaven or hell.
