Not only can you prevent summer cold you can also prevent fall and spring as well. Doctors always suggest washing your hands, because believe it or not when you shake someones hand, you are transmitting bacteria, especially during these summer months, when an individual is more prone to staying outside. I would recommend using Antibacterrial Soap and Sanitizer.

If this isn't allergies, eat well, foods rich in vitamin C, anti-oxidants. Keep hydrated , sleep well-your immune system is more vunerable if under stress, and has a diet rich in sugars and fats.

Do wash your hands frequently, to prevent contamination from person to person. Do not drink after anyone from the same glass. Do not share toothbrushes, etc.

This is prevention! Good you have a healthy summer!

I don't know if you can prevent summer colds but if you drink plenty of fluids and rest, then this will shorten the cold in half. Drink plenty of vitamin c, wash your hands, Use a disinfectant like lysol to kill those germs and just try to enjoy the outside weather if it isn't to hot....

Colds are caused by viruses, most of which are introduced to the body via the hands. So, to prevent colds wash hands frequently.

Also, keeping yourself in good general health enables your immune system to fight off viruses. So, eat plenty of fruits and veggies and get lots of fresh air and exercise!

The best way is to wash your hands a lot, keep your hands away from your face, and stay away from germs as well as you can. Also, if you have trouble with allergies, take a decongestant or antihistamine to avoid sinus infections and ear infections, which can look like colds.

i had them all the time so now i know what i'm talking about: take a lot of vitamines c. take magnesium (natural ones not chemical ones) and watch out that after every sport or effort (the ones where u start sweating) you dress up warmly. it sounds stupid but trust me. after every effort, your bod will be hotter than the outside temperature and therefore you will catch a cold. please trust me and wear a jumper or something. not all the time. just after sports
