RSM is the file extension for the Resume file associated with WinWay Resume Writer.

So if you want to open it you may need that software.

If you are working in Windows, you can rename the file to lindaresume.txt. To do this, open the folder containing the file. You should see the filename with the extension. If you don't see the extension go to the Tools menu, click Folder Options, then click the View tab. Make sure the option "Hide extensions for known file types" is unchecked. Once you have done that, rename the file by right-clicking it and selecting rename. Call it lindaresume.txt. Now when you double-click it, it should open, provided that it really is a text file.
Alternatively, you can open notepad (click Start, go to Run, type notepad and press Enter) and you should be able to go to File, Open then select All Files under the "Files of Type" option. If it is a real text file it will open. Then from there you can copy/paste it or whatever you need to do.

right click and use the open with option. Usually open with word pad. Or you could just rename the file to use a txt extension.

not sure , but I would think it was written in a particular resume writing program, and the sender did not convert it to a word doc or something
