Some marines are attacked, then rather than going after those who placed the bomb they attack an unrelated group of civilians in revenge.
Reminds me of a country that gets attacked on 9/11, and rather than going after Al Qaida, attacks a completely unrelated country.

It somewhat has the earmarks of the Mai Lai massacre. You have provided a good analogy of it. It is a break down of what is morals and what America should stand for. We have become them.

If proven true, it would have similarities to the My Lai massacre in Vietnam.

It does not, however, remind me of "...a country that gets attacked on 9/11, and rather than going after Al Qaida, attacks a completely unrelated country." Because that's a flat out distortion of the truth.

Reminds me of the time the media and America jumped to conclusions without having all the facts. Also of the time Americans forgot the principle tenet of our justice system "innocent until proven guilty".

Why don't you wait until ALL the facts are out before you start making allegations. It's easy to sit back and armchair quarterback. In case you don't know, this is a guerrilla war and these people often use "civilians" as shields and hide in the mosques.
If they did do what you're accusing them of, they should will be punished.
