Last yr I had an eptopic pregnancy and my left-side tube was removed. After that I didnt stop bleeding for about 4 months so the dr put me on some tablets to try and cease it. Since then I have not had a period, I am on the mini-pill so this could explain the lack of proper monthlys, i have had a bit of spotting at the beginning of the yr but nothing more. In the past month or so my breasts have grown quite large. This last week I have been feeling very sick and light-headed if i dont eat anything. I have done two pregnancy tests and both are negative. Could I be having a phantom pregnancy or are the tests wrong. Am trying not to go to the drs as since my operation last yr its been one thing after another.

Thanks for any advise.

The tablets and or mini pill will almost definately cause breast tenderness and increase in size - also the potential to gain weight will be there. I know it sounds silly but i think that perhaps your need and want to get pregnant is making you feel like you are with every change in the body you experience.

If 2 tests showed a neg response it means just that. You can almost convince yourself that you once again are pregnant and these feelings are normal. I can't imagine it being pregnancy on the horizon- although i could be wrong. The facts now are that your chances of conceiving naturally are greatly reduced since having one of your tubes removed. I would say the most part of why you are feeling the way you do is the result of the body returning to normal.

Sure you will feel dizzy if you dont eat-- it doesn't mean you are pregnant

How long have you had these side effects? If it has been less than a week since your period, you might have to wait a little longer to see a very faint line on the test. You might want to wait three days and test again with your first urine of the morning. Remember that the line can be very, very faint.

The minipill could be stopping your periods all together as well as stopping ovulation.

Basically, if you only have one tube, your other ovary releases and egg every month by default so you could be pregnant.

Many, many women take birth control with no side effects. Or side effects that don't last long (cramping, 5 lb weight gain, etc.) There is evidence out there that says birth control puts you at higher risk for breast cancer, and as you get older, for stroke. You are putting hormones in your body (depending on the type of BC there is estrogen and progesterone and progesterone only). There is also a brand called Ortho-Tricyclin Lo that is a low dose. You have to weigh the benefits and risk with yourself, your dr, and your parents. Birth control will help regulate your periods since the hormones regulate the changes in your body and you have a period when you take the placebo (fake pills) in the pack.

You omitted to mention your age, which is important.However::
lf your uterus was curetted after the ectopic pregnancy, you may be having Sheehan's Syndrome. This happens when there are uterine synechiae (bands of tissue) following massive haemorrhage --you bled for 4 months without stopping.
lf it didn't need curretting, and you say your breasts are getting larger, and amenorrhoea (no periods) for several months, then you may have Hyperprolactinaemia.
Neither of these conditions is life-threatening but l would advise you to see your doctor for a complete examination and tests-- especially if you still want to concieve.

Pregnancy tests are not always accurate I would check with a doctor and he can do an ultrasound to see if you are pregnant It could just be a phantom pregnancy but still go to a doctor.

Unfortunately, only a doctor could answer this, since you are showing pregnancy symptoms on the on hand and negative pregnancy tests on the other.

I would definately see a doctor about this! You have signs of pregnancy. If you dont want to see that doctor, go into a free clinic somewhere and have a test done. Dont ignore this!

i no you said you dont want to go to your dr but that would be the best person to ask about this what has been happening to you and i think you should go to see the dr as soon as possible because if you are pregnant again you are going to need to come off your pill in case it causes any harm to your unborn baby if you are pregnant anyway think about it and good luck to you
