My wife is an elementary school teacher and she purchased a gallon container of glue for her classroom. On the way home from the store, the container fell over and began leaking on the floor mat. Can anyone help me clean up this mess?

Removing Adhesive, Glue, and Sticker Stains
Stickers
Use an ice cube to freeze the stain. Use a spoon to scrape away as much of the adhesive residue as possible. Repeat with the ice cube and spoon until no more can be removed.

Blot the stained area with baby or cooking oil until the residue loosens. Use a spoon to scrape as much of the residue as you can away. Rinse the stained area thoroughly.

Treat the area with a stain remover stick, spray, or gel. Wash according to the clothing instructions.

Water-based Glues and Adhesives

Use a spoon to remove as much of the excess stain as you can.

Rub petroleum jelly directly into the stain. Gently rub and remove the glue pieces from the fabric. To remove the petroleum jelly, rub dishwashing liquid into the stained area and rinse thoroughly in warm water.

Continue repeating and removing the glue until no more remains.

hope this helps.
