Greece tried to get into the world cup but failed.
The problem is probably the age of the players.
They managed to get 2004 but only a younger team can continue to have successes.

I personally watched a defensive, injury-depleted Australian team beat a full-strength Greece 1-0 at the MCG in Melbourne. Greece had two or three scoring shots for the whole match.
Perhaps, the worst European champion ever.

Each competition is different, and the Greeks didn't qualify for World Cup 2006.

I really hoped Greece would have been there instead of Italy or SPain or Serbia and Montenegro. YEs GREECE SHOULD BE THERE. WINNING THE EURO CUP SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY YOU FOR THE WORLD CUP. ALSO THE GOLD CUP. AND AFRICANS CUP

You know how they teams qualify to the world cup by playing with othet teams they play friendly matches and they have to win games.

i dont think they could or would be able to do much concidering that this is the world cup and its totally a defferent ball game. i think they won uero as under dogs thats why we were supriced, the worldcup is simply about who is on form and who is not
