When somebody tickle you and you laught. That's the protect reaction. But when you try to tickle yourself, your brain knows that's no need to be protected.

We feel the effect of tickling when we experience it surprisingly.But when you tickle yourself,you already know you are being done so and therefore you don't feel the real pleasure of tickling

I believe it's because a tickle comes as a surprise. Your brain knows what your hand is about to do, obviously, so the element of shock is gone. When that's not there, it's the same as knowingly pinching one's self or scratching an itch.

because you know when its coming.. tickling comes from unfamiliar sensations that you wouldnt get when touching yourself.. because you know you are the one touching yourself
