though I usually have great results using the search engine within Yahoo, I sometimes use Dogpile and Metasearch. The results are enought different to make it worthwhile to use. You also could contact a professor at a university near you, as I have had good results with them offering information or tips on how to complete a project.

Why don't you rexplore the oil and gas industry?
Start with my company... Smith International.
www.smith.com
Lots of others.
Exxon-Mobil.
Kerr McGee.
Chevron-Texaco.
Conoco-Phillips.
Halliburton.
Schlumberger.
Shell.
BP.
Scientific Drilling.
H and P.
Noble.
Key Energy.
Anadarko Petroleum.
Rowan Companies.
The list is nearly endless... and very interesting stuff.
If you eat or wear clothes or drive a car or use electricity the oil and gas business is involved.

Try copying what you wrote in your question and paste in the search line at yahoo, google, dogpile, netscape, aol etc.
e.g. (1)Needs for modern industries - land, labor, capital, etc.
That's what I'd do. Good Luck : }

Also, try looking for online journals through your school. Your school's website will let you on to J-STOR and other places that might help you more.
