If you have a virus and you want to try and remove it yourself as opposed to purchasing an anti-virus software or downloading a free one you will have to know all about the kind of virus you have. Symantec has one of the best sites I have found for this instructions on how to remove a virus. You have to be comfortable manipulating the registry and deleting files, but usually if you follow the directions you will do ok. This site also has a virus scan and security check so you can make sure you know which virus you might have and how to prevent further infections. Symantec is the company which brings you Norton AntiVirus.
While you are there, take the time to look at the hoax section so you don't get caught forwarding hoax e-mails to your friends. These are also good for a laugh.

Just download a virus remover and run it in the computer and that will keep you fairly safe. You can get free ones like avg from the Internet. Try this site and see what you can find with your search.

Using whatever virus protection program you are using scan your computer and then if it finds anything click on the name of the virus then the detail button and it will usually give you the name of the place where it is like c:\documentsandsetting\blah\blah\blah then take the address and searche for it using the search option in the start menu

Antivirus software usually has the ability to quarantine and delete files; however, it's always much easier to prevent viruses rather than getting rid of one, becuse you might never be able to completely.
What i'd do is just save my important files, and reformat and restore my system to the original factory settings and make sure my antivirus software is up to date and take more percautions next time.

there're several things u can do to remove the virus:
1. install an antivirus in ur pc, update it n run it. it'll either remove the virus by itself or delete d file that is infected.
2. follow the path that is reported and delete the file manually by yourself n d virus is gone

sometimes you can trick it, on your pc time and date in the bottom right corner, right click on ajust time and date and change date a day back and time a few hours back. then go to programs screen and click on run, then type msconfig and hit enter, then find the virus in the startup tab and uncheck it. restart pc. then if this works go back and reset your time and date. hopefully this will take care of it. it has worked on a few viruses i have had good luck
