You sound perfect for me.
I have the same problem. My gf is the same way.
I want a gf to get up with me and make my coffee, then spend some time with me discussing the latest news from the paper.

I am a night owl and people have tried to get me to change. It is not possible if I wake up before 10 then be happy. Maybe your partner has that sleep schedule because of his work schedual. That is how it started for me worked nights and now my body is just set on sleeping in.

You can enjoy life more by accepting those who are different from you, or, in other words:
Good freakin LUCK changing a night owl to a morning person! You will lose sleep and pull out your hair trying!
And then, when they break up with you because of your need to control them, you can put "morning persons only" in your personals ads...
:)

Get him employed. If he's a night worker, you'll have to live with it!
(or just get him to stop smoking pot!)
