A civilian being beheaded stays in the news for 3 days.

-VS-

For 3 years we have to listen to the incessant
pissing and moaning about a poor little murderous prisoner who has to suffer the extreme war crime atrocities of having underwear placed on his head.

Because too much focus on the slaughtering of an innocent human being would make those terrorists look like bad guys.

Human dignity is important. What of Human rights? Imagine an American POW or a civilian being treated in this manner, maybe you'll have your answer.

Would you react in a similar manner if you or some other American (I presume you are American) that you know are forced to wear panties or underwear crowns.

The US has no experience as a conquered people, and yet can be so judgmental about treatment and behaviour in captivity and of the defeated people, is what amazes me.

As far as the beheading is concerned, no human (including the state) has the right to take another humans life, and it's wrong.

There is something known as Freedom of the Press. They have a right to publish facts, and as far as the media is concerned, most readers want such stuff so that they have something to gossip about and show how knowledgeable and noble they are during inane parties and dinners.

I agree with you that the media is out of control on what THEY consider newsworthy, BUT it is not limited to the liberal side (Fox news does it all the time too.)

But, as for your example, I think some of it goes to who are we more offended by. The ignorant terrorist who does it 15 times a day or our own govt which we expect better from.
We KNOW atrocities are being done all over the world, by govts on a daily basis - we hold ours to a higher standard (not that I am comparing underwear to an atrocity).

You're right, no more beheadings in the news! Let's not report ANY deaths in Iraq, Hell, what is 3000 soldiers dead, a mere pittance. Compared to other wars, this is big fun, eh? Stop reporting on Gitmo! More stories about Iraqi Cooking please!

Let's start a show, "Today in Baghdad's Marketplace", we can go from food stand to food stand and interview the newly freed Iraqi's (we'll edit out the car bombs, too violent). We can also show the "Mission Accomplished" scene on the deck of that aircraft carrier over and over and over, until America understands that the "war" is over. We are just "cleaning up" right now.

The media is about money and what sells. I have seen a lot more conservative reporting recently than liberal so the whole liberal media ho ha is nothing but ho ha. Media is a business and they will always put a story that sells first. People that cry liberal media are just i need of a scapegoat. If you don't like the media you are reading there are plenty of conservative writers for you to read.

it goes back and forth. our side versus your side. He said she said and no progress. why don't you try to do something postive today.

Say a prayer for the person who was beheaded, say a prayer for the innocent people of Iraq who lose loved ones.

I know you don't feel it but torture is a serious issue, and ask yourself today...why have we been letting people out of those prisons if everyone is guilty? Its more than underware placed on the head, it is rape, murder, beatings, we are the country that fights wars to end this behavior not commit it. but you know that.

I hope you have a good day.really. Lets make some progress for the better.

A president gets a knobber eight years ago, and you conservatives are still talking about it.

Another president lies about WMDs, attacks another nation, and you conservatives put on your blinders and defend him at all costs.

Is this hypocrisy, or are all of you just too f*cked up to see the truth? Been listening to Rush and Ann a little too much, have you?

Some role models your party has. A drug addict and a hermaphrodite who criticizes widows of a terrorist attack.
