Um...depends on how you define vampire. Some people claim to have some of the characteristics of classical vampires: hatred of sunlight, desire for blood, heightened senses.

There are really 3 things that could be going on.

First mental illness, my guess is that is up to you to decide but please give it some thought.

Second, you may just have a lot of natural/social things in your life that are similar to the classic stories of vampires. Vampires are found in just about every civilization or culture on the planet so there may be some non spiritual or non supernatural explanation. While I don't think I am a vampire I do sneeze in sunlight to the extent that people close to me claim that I am allergic to the sun...if that is even possible.

Third, you could be a strait up Vampire. My guess is that you would know if you were bitten and had no heart beat so I doubt this is the case.

Check the source for more info.

Well here is how you can self-diagnose.
I wouldn't recommend seeing a doctor just in case you are one and end up sucking his blood.

1. Stand in front of a mirror and open your mouth as wide as can be. Check for any sharp teeth or teeth that are starting to resemble fangs. This is your first indication.

2. Stand in the dark and look around you. What are you starting to notice? If you are sensing people or blood this is another sign.

3. Go to a church. You should feel violently ill or sick and not be able to go near it, I have found that this is a common occurance with Vampires. Try this also with garlic.

4. Do you crave blood? If you love eating your steak rare and find yourself staring at your loved ones veins and arteries you are most likely a vampire.

5. Lastly complete the self-denial test. This involves removing all aspects of blood (including meats) and pictures of veins/arteries from your reach for a few days. If you are a vampire you will feel very weak and feel a great NEED for a refill of blood.

So there you have it
Are you a vampire?
Looking forward to finding out.

Vampirism is for humans a lifestyle not a disease or
affliction.

Humans do not require ingesting blood to survive. However
there are animals in the wild that will bite a host animal and
drink blood from the small wound created. Most of the time,
the host animal is not even aware that it has been bitten or
that another parasite animal is feeding from it.

If you dress in black, sleep during the day and drink the blood
of animals then you can CALL yourself a vampire, but what
you really are is a fan of the vampire genre and or fiction.

Be warned: Drinking the blood of any mammal (Yes, humans are
mammals) is dangerous. Diseases and other afflictions can be
passed on to you be the host.

Vampires are mythical or folkloric creatures, typically held to be the re-animated corpses of human beings and said to subsist on human and/or animal blood (hematophagy), often having unnatural powers, heightened bodily functions, and/or the ability to physically transform. Some cultures have myths of non-human vampires, such as demons or animals like bats, dogs, and spiders. Vampires are often described as having a variety of additional powers and character traits, extremely variable in different traditions, and are a frequent subject of folklore, cinema, and contemporary fiction.
Vampirism is the practice of drinking blood from a person/animal. Vampires are said to mainly bite the victim's neck, extracting the blood from the carotid artery. In folklore and popular culture, the term generally refers to a belief that one can gain supernatural powers by drinking human blood. The historical practice of vampirism can generally be considered a more specific and less commonly occurring form of cannibalism. The consumption of another's blood (and/or flesh) has been used as a tactic of psychological warfare intended to terrorize the enemy, and it can be used to reflect various spiritual beliefs.
In zoology and botany, the term vampirism is used to refer to leeches, mosquitos, mistletoe, vampire bats, and other organisms that prey upon the bodily fluids of other creatures. This term also applies to mythic animals of the same nature, including the chupacabra

Do you prefer night to day?
Do you have pointed teeth?
Do you drink blood cocktails?
Do you favor black clothing?
Do you not eat pizza because of the garlic flavor?

Believe me, you are not a vampire. Only a wanna-be. It's a miserable life. All your friends avoid you. It's hard to find a night job that pays well. Give it up.

Can you see your reflection in a mirror? (1pt if no.)
Does garlic really make you wig out? (1pt. if yes.)
Does the faintest hint of sunlight burn your skin? (1pt. if yes.)
Are you repulsed by crucifixes? (1pt. if yes.)
Do you have a craving for human blood? (1pt. if yes.)
Do you find yourself attracted to fancy 16th Century fabrics, have homoerotic attractions toward men, and you wish to drink their blood? (1pt. if yes.)
Lastly, do you have fangs? (1pt. if yes.)

Consider your answers. If your point total is 1 or more, you might be a vampire. If so, go to your nearest clergy and ask to be staked in your coffin before sunset, as you are a vampire.

Good luck.
