I'm not sure something similar is happening to me. One of my bestfriends are leaving very far and we are still going to keep intouch i know it's hard to let go but they say if you love that person let them go if they come back they were always yours if they don't they never were. My friend tells me not to worry that he'll be back to visit he says it's time for him to move on so i guess yes it's fine if he leaves let him go the pain will go away with the time.

if he chooses to stay with u... n God forbid if tomorrow dispute springs up b/w u n ur friend... he's always gonna regret his decision... near or far friends always remain friends... more over people have to grow... dont let ur friendship stop ur friend from prospering in life... be his strength not his weakness... help him in this moment where he'll start from a scratch in a new city.. n i know he'll b calling u very frequently in the first few days of the job...nostalgia.... n thats the time when he needs u the most... help him out at that time n he'll remember u as his friend for ever.... GOOD LUCK!!!

That's his choice. You don't get to decide what is fair, because it impacts his life the most. As his best friend, you should be supportive of him no matter what he chooses.

Is difficult, for me the job is very important, as important as a good friend, but I hope not to be in that situation

as hard as it can possibly be, i guess the best thing was i'd choose to let my best friend do what's best for them? however, if i was the one getting the new offer, i wouldn't leave. but hey, that's just me
