In the following answer I Will discuss the advantages and disadvantaged to answers with 1000 words in it.
Firstly we have to define what is an answer? An answer is a response to a question: E.G do we really need answers of 1000 letters in it? and a response such as NO or YES in considered to be an answer. However many people (such as this answer) choose to use many words. Some people disagree with such behaviour arguing that it is 'annoying'. However, the contrary belief is that long answers provide fulfilling answers to those in need. Moreover a long answer is more likely to address the full situation and hypothesis of the question.
Although other disagree arguing that long answers are more likely to trail off the point, often leaving the person asking the question more confused than before. Even more so surely these people giving these long detailed answers have nothing else better to do than to sit at a computer typing nonsence.Although the opposing opinionated people would argue that the people given the detailed answers are caring by dedicating their time to those in need.
In conclusion, we not not need answers of 1000 letters in it in all cases. Although it may provide comfort to some in times of need

It depends on what type of question it is. If the question is complicating or it needs more explaining then you can have more than but 1000 is a lot.
An answers should be short and brief but understandable.

If a question can't be answered adequately in a few sentences, the question is too broad.

Depends on the question.
Your question - NO.
But for other questions 'eg - explain Aus foreign policy...' - YES.
Hey, and the main thing is, no one is forcing you to read them!
