Usually with skin lighting products all they really do is change the top layer or the dead skin cells. They are like the self tanning lotions. They react with the proteins in your skin causing your skin to appear to be a different color. But the minute you shave, waxed or if you scrub your "Tan" or "Whitening" is lost. In all honesty its a big waste of money.

F.Y.I. Whitening Lotions are band in Africa b/c so many people have used them and b/c it does destroy some of your natural abilities to block the uv-rays of the sun, that the people who used the product in excess have developed skin disorders and have even developed skin cancer!

I haven't used it before but i'm guessing that it's going to take longer for it to work. In the meantime, keep using it as you are, and put sunscreen on your skin wherever it's exposed. There are also creams which are a little on the expensive side but they contain hydroquinine, an element which stops your skin from producing pigments hence making it lighter.

No, I doubt it. My skin has always been totally unfair to me; comes out in blotches at the most inconvenient times and NEVER apologises.

I don't see how a lotion can change that...

Why would you want your skin to be fairer? I am one of those people that goes whiter than white in winter without sun, and i hate nothing more than pale and pasty fair skin. But I don't go rubbing lotions on myself that will make me go browner...get the point? Just love the skin you're in, whatever the color.

I do not use it so I cannot say for sure but since Nivea is a global brand, I believe that it is possible. :)

I would not know. I have never even heard of this product until now. I use a special bar of soap. It helps to even out my complexion.

Why would you want to make your skin lighter ?
Just be proud of the colouring your parents gave you - its very sad that you feel the need to be fairer when the rest of the world is lying around giving themselves skin cancer for the perfect tan.
Isn't life ironic.
